Prune trees and hedges around your home. Assess outdoor lighting needs for the shorter days.

This annual event is held in support of the ALS Society of Manitoba and in memory of Garry Fast’s uncle, Henry Dersken, who passed away from the disease.

The crisp cool morning air can only mean one thing… the dreaded Winter is coming. Last month, the Canadian Association for Retired People (CARP) Manitoba chapter, invited Team Insurance to do a presentation on travel health coverage and to provide some insurance TIPS for Snowbirds traveling south for the winter. It was a very informative session with lots of great feedback from all who attended. We wanted to highlight one of the discussed TIPS here on our blog to draw attention to an issue that may affect us all at one point or another.

The golf tournament helps to raise funds and awareness for the disease. The 2014 Derksen Memorial golf tournament supporting the ALS Society of Manitoba was a huge success again this year raising approximately $30,000. Team looks forward to attending again next year!

The Province of Manitoba has announced today that new University of Winnipeg specialty license plates will be available to students, parents, alumni, faculty and staff members beginning June 9, 2014. The University of Winnipeg has been one of our countries leading post-secondary institutions, with more than 10,000 international, undergrad and graduate students.
