Beware of garage and home fires
While the 2011-2012 winter has been unseasonably warm (on most days at least), the headline that is been predominant in Winnipeg has instead been focused on garage and house fires. It is unfortunate but it seems like a week doesn't go buy that a lead story on the evening news revolves around a fire either for an attached or detached garage, house or apartment. Even today, on one of the coldest days we've had so far, a fire on Magnus Ave. engulfed a home. Naturally, the most important thing is to ensure that, in the event of a fire on your property, your family gets out safe. Having a family escape plan is always essential, but it's more important than ever to be on the ready should an emergency arise. It's also important that you know that you have proper insurance in case of fire or smoke damage. If you are even slightly unsure of what you are covered for or which items in your home are covered by your current plan, please call us at (204) 339-2048, (204) 334-4373 or fill out our contact form here.
